Mama-bear Getting me to Read and the Story of this Blog
Someone has challenged my suggestion that there were indeed 1,012
things that make my mom awesome. Since I am looking for something else
to think about besides this day (which can just go f*ck itself,
thankyouverymuch), I accept the challenge. Over the next ... uh... lots
and lots of days, I'm going to post random weird stuff I'm happy about
regarding my mom.
Reason #2 Mama-bear is awesome: My dad was having trouble getting me to read when I was a kid. I hated all the books he chose, mostly because he chose them, and I was doing poorly in school. So my mom bought me Fangoria and Creepshow comic books. Problem solved. I still read comics -- and just about everything else I can make time for.
